Camion of Szaller speeded to the first place

The camion team of the Palik Racing Team won the category of the camions on the run of the Hungarian Baja. Zoltán Szaller, Gábor Halmai, László Pócsik trio kept their first position in a very hard fight on the final run of the cross country rally championship in Jutaspuszta.

The Hungarian Baja Run started very badly for the Palik–Darázsi duo, but finally they finished it with a very good result. After they were waylaid on the first selective stage on the final run of the national cross country rally championship, the duo wasted a lot of time, but in the rest of the run they could drive with full speed. In the Hungarian field they got the first , while in the international competition they won the thrilling second position – finally they were behind the winner of the trophy, Miroslav Zapletal, Tomas Ourednicek duo with a half score in the national championship.

The street Formula 1 or called Red Bull Racing parade brought down the house again. In enthralling environment , in the Buda Castle speeded the race cars of the Red Bulls, behind the steering wheels were sitting such stars as the champions of the Hungarian cross country rally, László Palik, and one of the most famous star of the F1, the in the previous year retired David Coulthard.

László Palik, Gábor Darázsi duo could stand up to the stage after the Prohun 500, - 4th Run of the Hungarian Cross Country Rally. The title protector duo won the 3rd place on the Gyula centred fight, so they have chance to conquer the trophy of this race period. However the pilot and his navigator were not satisfied with their performance.

The 24 hour long speed finished, and the BMW Team Hungary with EfficientDynamic team reached the goal on the Nürburgring. László Palik, Csaba Walter, Gábor Wéber, János Vida team is the 55th in the overall category, and won 5th places in its category.

László Palik, Gábor Darázsi duo reached the goal on the second place on the Rábaköz Cup,- run of the national cross country championship. Thus the title protector, Palik Racing Team could come up to the silver medal position in the total score race.

The whole team arrived home today: congratulators could wow Dakar 2009 10th truck driver and mechanic Zoltán Szaller and Tibor Csitári, the 21st placed copilot Gábor Darázsi, chief logistic manager Gábor Kollár and the assistance truck crew Nándor Farkas, Péter Keresztesi and László Széki, László Palik and László Pócsik have already landed yesterday

The truck unit of Palik Racing Team finished 10th position overall, winning its category and catching an amazing 3rd place among quantity produced vehicles; this way Zoltán Szaller, Tibor Csitári and László Pócsik (MAN) achieved all-time best hungarian result in Dakar history.

Dakar race directors refused to cancel objected time penalty of Palik Racing Team, which means the László Palik, Gábor Darázsi duo (Nissan) finished 21st while the Zoltán Szaller, László Pócsik, Tibor Csitári truck unit (MAN) with their overall 10th position achieved all time best hungarian result.

Palik Racing Team units as best Hungarians on Dakar

Both units of Palik Racing Team got in finish on Saturday, after successfuly finishing the last special of Dakar 2009. The Nissan driven by László Palik and Gábor Darázsi reached 21st position which assured them an overall 21st as well, while the Zoltán Szaller led MAN truck finished 8th and kept the amazing 10th overall ranking. The results are pending, since the team is waiting for the directory board to decide about their appeal.

László Palik, Gábor Darázsi car racers achieved the distance on the Dakar Rally-2009. The pilot, and his navigator (start number: 331) with the Nissan reached the goal on Saturday on the 21. place, thus they finished the race in the overall category on the place 21. Since the final result is under protestation- members of Palik Racing Team appealed against the 12 hours penalty, they got on Thursday when they followed the instruction of the organisers and strayed from the originally signed path – the overall position of the duo is not final.

Race directors modified Thursday stage results and overall rankings by Saturday morning – says Dakar 2009 official website. Due to the decision those units who were called off the track by the stewards after 175 km will be inflicted by time penalty, in spite of statements earlier. This puts the László Palik, Gábor Darázsi (Nissan) duo back at 21st position. Palik Racing Team has already announced appeal.

Both units of Palik Racing Team got through the 12th special stage of Dakar 2009 on Friday. The László Palik, Gábor Darázsi duo (Nissan) finished 25th, the Zoltán Szaller, László Pócsik, Tibor Csitári truck team finished 11th after the 220 km long special.

Due to the torrential rain that has fallen last night in the areas of La Rioja and Córdoba making the route of today’s special stage completely impassable – at least in its first part – the organizers have decided to change the route of stage 13.

They will never forget this Thursday special! Currently ranked 12th László Palik and his copilot Gábor Darázsi were stucked in the sand a couple of times on this killing eleventh stage – it was only over for the big part of the peleton when race directors drove them out of the dunes.
